Harry's Room of Healing

Cynthia and Harry in Harry's newly decorated room, Tuesday, 11 March, the last day of the first round of chemo.

Harry has come through this first round of chemo in good shape, thanks to the very good care he's receiving from his Mama and Daddy, Auntie Cecelia, the superb medical personnel on CK5, and all the loving prayers and healing thoughts that you send. Jodi and Cecelia gave Harry's spirits and ours a very big boost when they secretly decorated his room on Sunday evening.

Harry's room of healing is bathed in sunlight, organized for efficiency and comfort, and decorated in early modern cheeriness and delight! Your cards and notes are up on the walls, stuffed animals vie for the pleasure of cuddling with Harry, and bright colours everywhere light up the room.

Cynthia, both you and Harry look great in this photo. The entire scene is a picture of love and serenity. I am so happy that you have all come out of the first round of chemo looking so good, and that Harry has responded well to his treatment. Harry's room looks like a sanctuary that harbours positive energy and love.

I am continuing to keep your beautifull baby boy, and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers for a complete and quick recovery.

Love

Cynthia: Thank you for sharing such details, insights, and analogies. They do make it easier to focus our thoughts, meditations and prayers. Know that you are never far away,

We shared a story with Dave and Grace today that you, too, might appreciate.

It’s probably more than 15 years now since beach-neighbours and close friends were spending their days and nights at Children's Hospital with Erin, while alternating time at home with her slightly older brother Michael. Within the span of a week, it had been determined that Erin had at least one, large, inoperable embryonic abdominal tumour. She was a beautiful child, a young pre-schooler at the time.

Unlike you, our friends were very close-mouthed: we could easily read and imagine their pain, but details were not forthcoming. We knew the prognosis was not good, but that they were adamant: Erin was going to recover. There was no alternative. It was a very l-o-n-g and very hard-fought battle. At one point, when the doctors told our friends there was nothing more they could do, Erin's grandmother had to make a quick trip to Toronto. On the plane, she happened to be seated next to one of the doctors who had been consulting on Erin's case. Our friend and the doctor commiserated about it on the flight. That night the doctor spent even more time searching on-line and discovered a still very-experimental treatment that was being used at an American university hospital (Texas, I think). Since everything else had been tried without success, permission was given to give Erin the experimental drug. By then, Erin was very weak, and she was losing ground quickly. And then the "flip” happened: that experimental drug was the miracle we had all been praying for. Almost immediately the tumour(s) began shrinking and were soon small enough to be removed. The surgery was successful, and Erin never looked back. Now she is a beautiful young woman, a student at the University of Winnipeg. When we see Erin, our eyes still well up as we remember her family and that painful journey.

We pray that 20 years from now, our eyes will similarly be welling up for Harry as we smile, give a quiet "Thanks," and pass along his story too.

Peace and blessings,

Noreen

Harry's Room of Healing... Couldn't be a more fitting name for that room. The sunshine, the colours from decorations and most importantly the LOVE. Our thoughts are with you all.

Well if timing made sense I guess we'd all be a more enlightened race. I just found this blog in my search for decorative ideas for a treatment room I'll be using to administer EFT on my patience. If you've never heard of EFT it stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and is used on everything imaginable that occurs in the body due to an imbalance in the bodies energy system. It basically re-aligns you to explain it faster and easier. I live in Southern California.

It is quite accidental that I came across this blog but just seeing the picture of you and your nephew made my "intuitive radar" start to spin a couple different directions so I thought I'd add to this beautiful tribute to a life seemingly cut short.

Surely this little guy was an amazing soul, I know this because of what he choose for himself in bearing this disease. To come into a life knowing the time he had to complete this part of his journey was so short is a miracle to me.

This seems weird, but we choose when we come to this life and the manner in which we come, the body, even our parents, etc. It is a truely brave and noble soul that chooses what Harry did and it is all for the people around him that he loved. No doubt the people who knew him can all say with similarity what little Harry taught them in his time with you in this life. This is a miracle. To be touched so lovingly by the hand of God, is truely a miracle.

My best friend lost her daughter 3 years ago to Leukemia. She was 6. Tragic yes, but that doesn't give her mission justice to reduce it to a tragety. What she brought us and this life will live on forever, much like little Harry. She helped me find my passion in Energetic Healing through her own illness. I'm only sorry it took her being sick for me to realize what I was sent for. But she choose to be that for me, what a gift. What an amazing gift.

I miss her, and the pain of her passing still sneaks up on me at times. I find safety in remembering why she was in my life and how beautifully orchastrated is was with a chance meeting of two girls in college who hit it off and became dear friends. I know that her life meant so much more than a child who beared the weight of the world on her young shoulders, her life was about being an angel sent to heal others and help them find their way.

So I leave you with a thought not knowing how the passing of this angel has left you; what did Harry teach you about yourself? What did he bring you that you didn't have before? I'm sure if you don't know yet what it is, when you find it it will be emmence. It's in remembering this that we find peace and gratitude with such a crappy deal.

Again, I submit this passage respectively with light, love and healing for you and your family.

Just so you know, because of my friend's daughter I work with terminally ill patience using EFT and other forms of energetic healing. This is my contribution curtiousy of her. Prior to that I spent 13 years in the mortgage industry, which gives you some insight to the miracle in my life that occured.

Many blessings. I hope this finds you peaceful and thriving. My name is Janelle Sagen and for whatever reason other than I just feel connected in some way to this, I can be contacted at prequal2003@aol.com
